Summer Fun Mini Album: A Flip-Tastic Adventure in the Sun with Conny Craig!

Hey crafty friends, It's Conny here and I'm incredibly excited to be here again with another project using the Hello Again Collection! I'm enjoying every project I have created with this collection and today I'm back with another mini-album! Yay! It's gorgeous layered pages with all the embellishments and beautiful papers.

Let's get started!

Firstly, I started by cutting three chipboard pieces, the front cover measures 7” X5”, the spine is 7” X 2”, and the front cover is 7” X 2.5”. You will also need a piece from the Hello Again Collection - 12 x 12 Acetate - Gold Dots- measuring 7" X 3 1/2”. Make sure it's the gold side of it facing out, the cool thing about this acetate is that you have a silver and gold side! Covered the chipboard pieces with Doodlebug Design - Hello Again Collection - 12 x 12 Paper Pack - Textured Cardstock Assortment white, yellow cardstock, on top of that paper, I added the paper that is filled with all the images, and the front of this paper has 12 element cards— using my sewing machine to stitch around the covers and spine.

Binding the album, you will need paper that measures 7” X 5 “, Add the spine chipboard in the middle of that paper 1 1/2” by 3 1/2”, leaving 1 1/2” on both sides. The next step is to add the covers to the spine together leaving 1/8” on both sides so that the album can open and close easily! Let's go embellish the cover pages, here I used Hello Again Collection - 12 x 12 Cardstock Stickers - This And That, butterfly, flowers from Die Cut Cardstock Pieces and Sprinkles - Enamel Dots - Gold Assortment. So simple yet so beautiful, I’m loving all the gold details.

To create the hinges, you will need a piece of cardstock measuring 7” X 7” score at every 1/2” building hills and valleys, Adhere to the middle of the spine, you might need to trim 1/4” of the edges for the hinge to fit perfectly depending on the size of your spine. Pocket pages, You will need the Doodlebug Design - Hello Again Collection - 12 x 12 Paper Pack - Textured Cardstock Assortment from the page. 1st page, 7” X 6” scored at 3” 2nd page, 7” X 7” scored at 3 1/2” 3rd page, 7” X 8” scored at 4” 4th page, 7” X 9” scored at 4 1/2” Add double-sided tape to the 7” side leaving the inside open for pockets to add memories or journaling. The back pocket 8” X3 1/2” scored at 1/2” all around to create the pocket.
